On January 27, 2015, at the Center for Strategic Studies of the Republic of Tajikistan, a round table was held on the topic: “Activities of the hotline on combating trafficking in persons, trafficking and migration” with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Migration Service, UN Women, and a number of public organizations.
The round table was held by the NGO “Association of Woman and Society” with the financial support of the International Organization for Migration in the framework of the regional project “Support for victims of trafficking in persons, vulnerable migrants, their families and communities in Central Asia”, funded by the Government of Norway.
The purpose of the round table was to raise awareness of the public and relevant government agencies, international and public organizations about the hotline’s activities and identify a range of priority issues.
During the round table, an exchange of experience and information between government agencies, public and international organizations and the media on combating human trafficking, trafficking and migration related to the hotline’s activities took place.
